Aaron Webster

Aaron Webster joined By Light in 2024, bringing a wealth of experience in Department of Defense and Army strategic initiatives.
Aaron served in the U.S. Army, where throughout his distinguished 30-year Army career, he led thousands of Soldiers, civilians, and coalition partners, including during combat operations, providing unparalleled support to senior military and civilian leaders. He served in numerous global locations with over 20 years of tactical and strategic experience at the Corps and below levels. His responsibilities including the management of U.S. Army Networks across CONUS and OCONUS as well as real-world communication support to dignitaries when traveling CONUS and abroad. Aaron cherishes the privilege of having commanded units at the Company, Battalion, and Brigade levels as well as providing support to the Combatant Commands (COCOM). In his final assignment, he served as Director of the Army’s Land Warfare Network in the DA G/3/5/7 at the Pentagon, where he retired as a Colonel in October 2018.
As a civilian, Aaron has led and mentored thousands of personnel supporting key initiatives globally at GDIT and Jacobs Technology with successful results. Aaron is a graduate of Florida A&M University, where he received his BS Degree and commission as a second lieutenant in the U.S. Army. He was a proud member of the infamous “FAMU Marching 100” band and is currently an inspiring and dynamic motivational speaker. He also has master’s degrees from Webster University and the Army War College. Aaron is PMI certified and a member of the Armed Forces Communication and Electronics Association (AFCEA), Association of the United States Army (AUSA), and Signal Corps Regimental Association (SCRA).
