Diane Hockenberry

Diane Hockenberry is By Light’s Chief Marketing Officer and is responsible for the company’s marketing strategy, brand positioning, and product commercialization. She oversees brand, digital, communications, demand generation, and sales enablement functions.
With more than 25 years of experience across the technology, aerospace, defense, and media sectors, Diane has developed a passion for building integrated marketing organizations that translate complex capabilities into clear, differentiated value propositions that support growth and capture success.
Prior to joining By Light, Diane held senior marketing and communications roles with private equity-backed companies including LightRidge Solutions and Trident Systems, as well as in the defense sector with Iridium. She also brings extensive media industry experience, including directing audience development initiatives for the Newspaper Association of America and leading marketing for NPR’s Washington, D.C., affiliate, WAMU 88.5.
Diane holds a Master of Arts in Liberal Studies from Hollins University and a Bachelor of Arts in English from Roanoke College.
